Please note if these rules are not to your liking, you can request a specific rule to be followed, or broken, by both, or all, duelers involved.
1. Hacks: There is no tolerance for hacked characters, items and third-party programs in our games. If it is discovered that a player is using either, the maximum punishment will be enforced.
2. Naked killing: Killing a player before they have gotten their body is forbidden in both games.
3. Respect: All duelers are to be respected as you would like to be respected. This includes not whining.
4. Spamming: Please do not spam in-game chat.
6. Multi-boxing: Using multiple characters in a single one of our games is not allowed, and your extra character WILL be kicked.
7. Shrines and wells: Using any shrine or well is forbidden during duels. Mana regeneration shrines are allowed for all characters except Energy Shield Sorceresses.
8. Hiding: Using obstacles such as houses, trees, rocks, etc. to hide from damage is not allowed for longer than two seconds.
9. Glitching: Any kind of glitching aside from WSG is not allowed.
10. Resistances: Specific absorbing rules are as follows:
i. Characters with less than(NOT equal to) 75% on screen resistance are allowed a maximum of two absorb items. (e.g. 2x raven frosts)
ii. Characters with 75-80% on screen resistance are allowed a maximum of one absorb item.
iii. Characters with 81-85% on screen resistance are not allowed to wear absorb items.
iv. Resistance Auras for paladins count as an absorb item.
v. Stacking 400% res nullifies your ability to use absorb items and any on screen resistance above 75%.
vi. Using any amount of on screen resistance above 85% is not allowed.
11. Bugged Items: Items of this nature that can currently (As of June 3rd, 2015.) be found on closed battle.net realms are allowed.
12. Slow Target Percentage: Players are not allowed more than 10% of slow target against any character that uses Increased Attack Speed for their main attack. This value is set to zero in Melee versus Melee duels.
13. Poison Damage: No more than 1,200 Poison Damage is allowed with any melee attack (including Whirlwind). This excludes Venom, Poison Dagger, Poison Javelin, Plague Javelin, etc.
14. Potions: Healing potions are forbidden. Mana potions are allowed for all characters that do not use Energy Shield.
15. Hybrid Runewords are allowed here, despite being "patched" on closed.
16. Oak Sage and other spirit charges are allowed. (HotW, Barbs...)
17. Any rules not listed here are to be assumed the same as closed battle.net rules.
-D2Sanctuary GM Duels Rules-
1. Players must say “G,” “Go,” or any form of the word to indicate that they are ready.
2. Towning: Purposefully entering town during a duel to heal or change a piece of gear will result in a loss. Repeatedly doing so will result in appropriate punishment.
3. Town Guarding: Not allowed.
4. Pre-buffing: Using items from stash to buff before a duel is not allowed unless both duelers agree. Using the Horadric Cube with a Call to Arms, etc. in your inventory is allowed.
5. Slow Missiles is not allowed in any form.
6. Life Tap is not allowed.
7. Amplify damage (Charges or CtC% is only allowed on low damage physical builds such as Martial Arts Assassins and War Cry Barbarians.
8. The action of name locking and charging your opponent for more than three Knockback effects is not allowed.
9. Holy Freeze is not allowed.
10. Teleporting around at random and spamming your primary skill and excessively defensive play is not allowed. This is not to be confused with hammerdins attempting to trap their opponent in a field they created around the opponent.
-D2Sanctuary GMPK Rules-
Before listing the rules, a bit of background. GMPK means Good-Mannered Player-Killing. This means it is essentially an FFA with jumping, BO-killing, etc., but with limitations. “Essentially an FFA” is said because players are allowed to party with each other at will.
1. Players are not required to say “G,” or “Go,” before dueling.
2. Towning is allowed only after the player has successfully gotten two (2) kills without healing unless there are only two players in the game.
3. Town Guarding: Allowed.
4. Pre-buffing: Using items from stash to buff before dueling is allowed.
5. Slow Missiles is not allowed in any form.
6. Life Tap is allowed in percent chance to cast form, not charges.
7. Amplify Damage is allowed.
8. The action of name locking and charging your opponent for more than three knockback effects is allowed.
9. Holy Freeze is not allowed.
10. Teleporting around at random and spamming your primary skill and excessively defensive play is not allowed. This is not to be confused with hammerdins attempting to trap their opponent in a field they created around the opponent.
